Caring for Egyptian Cotton
Egyptian cotton has a wonderful quality: it can become even softer and more comfortable with time. Gentle washing helps relax its long cotton fibers while preserving the smooth, luxurious feel that makes this fabric so special.
For best results, wash your Egyptian cotton bedding separately. Avoid washing it with darker fabrics, garments with zippers or hooks, or other items that could cause color transfer or damage the fibers.
Wash at a low temperature of 86°F (30°C) to help protect the fabric and minimize shrinkage. Use a mild detergent and avoid chlorine bleach.
For visible stains, gently treat the affected area by hand before washing rather than using harsh stain-removal products. An additional rinse cycle can also help ensure that all detergent is thoroughly removed from the fabric.
Recommended Drying Method
For the best results — and naturally fewer wrinkles — we recommend air drying your bedding whenever possible. Line drying is gentle on the fibers and can help preserve the fabric's color and appearance.
If you prefer to use a dryer, choose a low-heat or delicate setting and remove your bedding promptly when the cycle is complete. Avoid excessive heat, as this may cause unnecessary shrinkage or wear.
With thoughtful care, your bedding can stay soft, comfortable, and beautiful for many nights to come.
A final note: Always follow the care instructions on the label attached to your product, as these take precedence over the general recommendations above. Blush & Birch Co. cannot be held responsible for damage caused by washing, drying, ironing, or other care methods that do not follow the product's care instructions.
